The Laney Family

Finished my project a day ahead of schedule... feels great!

So the weekend before Thanksgiving I met up with the Laney family at Heardmont Park.  What a fun family.  Becky had gotten my name from a mutual friend.  The family had never done a photo session outside of a studio so this was a new experience for them.  The kids were soo excited that they were able to run around the park and play and stop every once in a while for a posed picture.  I think they had visions of studio photography in mind, so they were pleasantly surprised when it was anything but that.  Alex, Sarah and Katie (aka Katie Bug) had a blast... along with me.  Mom & Dad had some fun as well.  I left the session with a hair full of leaves as dad was throwing leaves on me to make the kids laugh... it worked!  All in a day's work and everyone left with a smile.  I have a lot of favorites from this session... here is just a few of them...

My next project

Busy, Busy, Busy.... here is my next project... The Laney Family.  We had lots of fun last week during the session and it really shows in the pictures.  Can't wait to share more but here is one for Becky.

The Paradise Family

Wow... it feels like forever since I have posted anything.  I have been a little busy with sessions, then Thanksgiving and our trip to Washington, DC.  Back to work though... this week will be full of posts (I hope).
So, I met up with my friends, The Paradise Family, two weeks ago to take some pictures.  We started out at their house then headed over to Ross Bridge.  Little Bella took a while to feel comfortable with me but half way through the session she was all smiles.  Nicholas and Ava had fun playing in the creek and on the railroad tracks.  Just a few of my favorites...

The Ross Children

Facebook.. what an amazing thing.  I re-connected with an old elementary school and soccer friend after 19 years.. Kara Dolan Ross.  We have stayed in contact thru facebook and when I started this photography blog, she mentioned that she would love for me to photograph her kids if I ever was in Dallas.  Just so happened that I was planning a trip to Dallas in early November to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary.  (what a fun weekend with my family).  I ended my weekend in Dallas with a photo shoot of Kara's 3 kids.  First of all... it was great to see Kara again.  She looks great.  Secondly... her kids are absolutely adorable.  Ainsley was a little model and we had a lot of fun.  She is soo good with her brothers.  Her twin boys, Brody & Finley, are too cute for words.  See for yourself....

Ms. Kendall

A couple of weeks ago I met up with my friend Leslie and her daughter Kendall to take some photos. Kendall and my daughter Natalie are good friends.  They have this love/hate relationship... lots of Drama.  :)  That's another story... Anyway, we headed up to the Bluff Park Community Center and played in the park.  Kendall was too cute... she is in love with Justin Bieber, so all I had to do was bring him up and a huge smile came across her face.  She was telling me all the latest gossip about him.  I was laughing behind the lens.  Here are a couple of shots from our time together....
